Volunteers!!
Well, I figured it was about time I stopped blogging about our game room and instead wrote about something else since I haven't been getting any comments about the game room :)! First, I want to make sure that you realize how thankful I am for all of you. FOCUS Factor Minsitries would not be where it is today if it weren't for all of your hard work and effort that you put into making it the best youth ministry we can have.
I can't help but notice that some of you are still trying to find your nitch in our ministry. I know that when you first started or were thinking about starting that I had you fill out an extensive form giving you all the possibilities of where you could help, but have since filed it away and never looked at it again. Part of that form was a place for you to say where you would like to help and for the most part many of you have become "Table Leaders"/Small Group leaders and that is it. I am not saying this is a bad thing, but I am not sure if this is where you all wanted to be. There are plenty of other areas in our ministry that you can help out if it would be comfortable for you and fit your gifts and passions.
I say all of this to make sure you realize there is plenty for you to do. I don't ever want to be accused of having people who want to help out but don't know what to do. What I want to do is meet with every one of you and talk through some of these things to make sure I am helping you succeed as best I can. Thank you so much for your willingness to help out and be a part of FOCUS Factor Minisries where lives are changed. If you have any questions or comments feel free to post them.
In God's Love,
Joel

The New Couches

Well, these are the new couches in the future game room. We have two of these sectionals, both the same size and a three-cushion couch as well. Each sectional has its own ottoman (each a different color) and the sofa has two ottomans that can be used for storage and seating. The room will seat approximately 20 to 30 teens depending on how packed they want to get on the sectionals. The teens did an awesome job putting them together and it made for a really fun night of fellowship for us to get something done as well as build and strengthen relationships! As of right now Toby is talking with his "connection" to look into what it is going to cost to get the TV's and Video Game Systems! I am not sure how long it will take, but I also am going to talk with my "connections" and see what we are looking at. It is probably going to be pretty expensive, but this is the main reason we started the room in the first place. I will get those figures to the YWT when we get them and we will make a decision on it at that time. I would love to have them in ASAP and then the final step for the room is to put up some decorations. It is turning out really neat and I truly believe the teens will love it. Thanks for all who have helped. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
