School Year Begins September 5th @ 6:45 PM

I can't believe the school year is already here! We will start our normal Wednesday Night programming next week on September 5th. Please begin praying right now for potential volunteers in the upcomming school year. I have had 9 people express interest in helping out with teens this year and I am suppose to meet with them this Thursday Night to go through some of positions we need filled for the year! I am extremely excited about this and even if we can get half of them to commit and get involved it would be a HUGE help. My goal is to have two sponsors per table ministry group this year. If we were able to do this I feel Small Groups could develop from them. I have talked with most of you and plan on seeing you there on Wednesday Nights. Please be there a little early and ready-to-go. Some of the best time you may have with the teens is before and after youth group times when you are more free to talk and just hang out! Feel free to help with crowd control throughout the night if it gets too wild or loud during the lesson :)! Thanks again for all of your help and effort in fighting the good fight. May we reap a reward this year.

First YWT Meeting @ Greenwood's House September 4th @ 7 PM

I am just reminding all of you of the first YWT meeting that is coming up for the new school year. We are going to meet the first Tuesday of September and that is the 4th! We will go ahead and do this first one at our house, since everyone knows where it is at and then pick the next place from there! We will meet at 7 PM and be done by 8:30 so you can get home to your children and also relax a little :)! I have some training for all of you and we will also go over some other things that night. I am looking forward to it. Please let me know if you can't make it, some of you have already done that. Have a great week and I will talk with you all later.

Our First YWT Meeting

I just wanted to let you all know that I have put a YWT meeting schedule in each of your mailboxes at the church as well as sent you a copy of the schedule in your emails if I have them. They are tenitavely scheduled for the first Tuesday of every month with the first one being on September 4th! I know some of you said your homes were open for meetings, but I didn't want to just pick which one you would be in charge of, so I will leave that up to you and you can just let me know. If there is anyone that has a huge conflict with the meeting time let me know and I will see what we can work out. I have been getting some things together for training for our first meeting and I am really excited about it. I have a CD for each one of you to listen to at your convenience. We will listen to one 5-6 minute section a month at our own convenience and then talk about it at our meetings. We will see how this works out. Thanks for everything and let me know how I can help.

The Party and Meetings Schedule

I have to say that I really enjoyed the party we had at our house a couple of Sundays ago! I was super excited to see everyone able to make it and the food was excellent. If nothing else, I think we have some awesome cooks as a part of the YWT! Thank you all so much for clearing your schedules and making that meeting a priority. I was happy to be able to share my vision and dreams for the upcomming school year as well has hear some great stories about last year of lives that have been changed. I have heard back from around half of you about your intentions for next year and am looking forward to hearing back from others. As of right now, everyone that was on board last year is ready to give it another shot. I have already ordered some information on training and instruction that we will go through in our YWT meetings this year. I am going to try and make a schedule this afternoon for all the YWT meetings this year. I was thinking that Tuesday Nights worked best for everyone but I am not sure if this is true or not. We will probably try to meet the first Tuesday of every month starting in September. If you have a conflict with this please let me know and we will try to pick another day of the week. I know that with as many people as we have on this team it will be impossible for everyone to meet everytime, but I want it to be as close to that as possible. I think when we are all together and combine our thoughts and ideas we will be the most effective that we can be. Just so you all know, I am having another Fantasy Football League this year and it is a great opportunity for conversation starters with the teens and a way to get connected to them. If you are not into this that is fine, but if you are, it is an awesome inlet into their lives. You are all welcome to be a part of this and if we have enough interest maybe we will make an all adult league :)! Just be careful because I am the defending champion and have the trophy in my office to prove it LOL ;)! I hope you are all enjoying your summer and please let me know if this works out for you.
