Possible Couch
Here is a couch that I found online that costs around $460.00 after shipping and everything. I am going to look into it a little more and actually call the people who do this and see what the deal is. This seems very cheap and I am hesitantly excited about it. Let me know what you think about it and then I will call and find out if this is for real or not. My only question is that on the shipping page it looks as if the couch comes in three pieces which I want no part of because I cannot imagine how a couch comes in pieces. I will call them and find out for sure before we do anything. I figured even if everything does work out will only buy one first to see how it looks and if we like it, we would order the rest. How many couches and love seats do you think we should get for the game room if we are going to have an Air Hockey table for sure and some other things? We should probably come up with some kind of lay-out before we purchase things for the walls and also the furniture so we know what we are doing.
I also want to take some time and thank Wendy for all that she has done recently in the game room. She has been putting verses up on the walls in some awesome fonts and it looks really awesome. Make sure you take some time to look at the room and thank Wendy for all she has done. They look great Wendy!!! Again, we are ready for carpet and furniture, then after that we need to put up some wall art. I was thinking to "Man up the room" a little bit we should get some posters (nicely framed) of like X-Box game shots of football and golf and snowboarding and stuff like that. I know that won't happen until we get the furniture and carpet, but it will happen. We also need to decide what to purchase game wise in the room. Let me know any ideas you have for the room, but remember we cannot please everyone and it is very subjective. My only hope is that this room will bring teens into the FOCUS Factor Ministries where they can run into Jesus and others who care about them. Here are some more pictures.
Also, Karolyn and I are going to go to Home Depot on Thursday Night and look at the carpet samples again. We are going to be making a decision on the carpet in the next few days so if you have any opinions speak now or forever hold your peace. After we order the carpet it will probably be a month before it gets put in and ready to go, that is why I want to make a decision ASAP! So, let me know what you think.

The Carpet Deal
Ok, here is the deal! We cannot get the black and green carpet checker pattern we originally wanted because the green is a "shag" carpet and the black is a "plush" carpet so they won't look good together. I am going to look at their website again and see if I can't get a black "shag" because that would solve our problem. I am pessimistic about finding this but I will not give up hope. My question to all of you is, "what do we do if we cannot get a black shag carpet?" Should we consider other colors, get all the same color and put it in, or wait and see if something else comes up? I guess I love the checker board idea but I am not sure it would look good with any other colors than green and black in that room with the crazy wall color! Let me know what you think about this situation and we'll make a decision coming up here pretty soon. After we get the carpet and put it in we will buy the furniture. I guess the furniture is another disappointing thing because I went to Value City Furniture two weekends ago and they said they didn't have any black couches made of microfiber and didn't know anyone else who did. I thought the carpet and couches would pull the room together and now niether is a guarentee. We will have to weigh our options and see what comes of it. I would like to offer a huge "THANK YOU" to Wendy and my wife for all the time they put into the room painting, it looks amazing, and is a lot of detail work. I guess that is it for now, feel free to post your comments.

The Dilly on The Carpet
Well, here it is! I don't think it looks too bad, but you can definitely see the seam lines. I don't think that will make as much of a deal if we are getting two different colors anyway because the seam lines will be obvious. I did read the directions and they say you are supposed to put it on concrete, wood or something hard (not the existing carpet)! I don't forsee having huge problems if we just put it over the carpet we currently have because it doesn't slip too easy. I will have all of you come in and let me know what you think, but if we had it wall to wall, I don't see it slipping or bunching at all (unless someone does it on purpose and we are working with teens). It is going to be pretty expensive, so we will have to decide on this. I almost think it would be cheaper to just rip up the old carpet, put down tack strips and do it the right way, but then we lose the cool checker board pattern we are looking for. I am at a loss, so I am relying on you all to make the decision. let me know what you think. Thanks again.
